I had a lot of fun making this wall hanging - it took me right back to my childhood holidays at various seaside resorts around the English coast - Brighton, Littlehampton, Bognor, Great Yarmouth, Weymouth. 

Made especially for Mum and Dad

All the original photos were black and white - some pretty badly damaged.  I used various paint and photo programs to correct the pictures after they were scanned, then tinted them in seaside colours - pale yellows, pale blues and pale apricots.  Then reversed the image and printed it out in best quality print on special photo-transfer paper on my HP ink jet printer.  

Then I cut them up, ironed them onto white fabric and sewed them into my quilt.
