This piece started off in a workshop given by Janice Gunner - so the initial design decisions were not my own.  The curves were cut free hand - which is quite scary the first time you launch yourself at the fabric with the rotary cutter - but its also a lot of fun.....

The coloured "logs" are closely machine quilted in a variegated thread.

Given to my sister Angela on her birthday in September 2002.
